"The Safety Stove"

Mr. Wiesman is a 43 year old family man with three children (Alicia - 23, Christopher - 22, and Savanna - 17), and two grandchildren (Jimmie - 4 and Dylan - 3), and resides with his wife of 24 years in the community of Novi, Michigan.

Mr. Wiesman has had a varied and interesting career with wide experience in business. He became a Firefighter/EMT to save lives, like many successful Inventors, Mr. Wiesman's invention was born out of personal experience.

When Mr. Wiesman's youngest daughter Savanna almost knocked a pan of boiling water onto herself, while he was preparing her macaroni & cheese, terror ripped through him as he remembered a boy from his childhood whose face was permanently scarred from boiling water that had fallen on him when he was a toddler. Mr. Wiesman's fear made him realize that a safety feature needed to be invented to keep this from happening again to anyone in this world. This invention could benefit senior citizens, military, daycare officials, persons with disabilities, in both residential and commercial applications.

"The American Safety Stove" is a creative, cost effective solution to a widespread and significant market need, that also is within the capabilities of the household cooking equipment industry.

In addition, Mr. Wiesman has received the Gold Medal Award, the Excellent Award, and the Achievement Award from the Inpex Inventors Convention.

The invention, called "The American Safety Stove", features a burner control knob-activated electromagnet mounted in the center of each burner. This self-contained burner, made of a lightweight ferrous metal, can be unlocked separately to remove a single pot or pan. The primary object of this invention is to provide an electromagnetic burner that will hold a pan in place while the burner is lit (for gas stoves) or activated (for electric stoves). Using this unique burner lends itself as a user-friendly product. Ultimately, it makes this invention a much sought-after stove for a number of residential and commercial uses. This product would also make an excellent solution as additional protection for households with small children, elderly adults, developmentally disabled, and more.
