Paul Riccobon, Inventor of the "Combination Toilet And Bidet"
"I love bidets, having used one most of my life. I even have one on my 65 ft trawler yacht, where my guests enjoy its use. However, I found having to use two units, a toilet and a bidet, not only a waste of space but inconvenient, having to move from the toilet to the bidet. I thought long and hard about this problem and developed the all-in-one Bidet/Toilet. While bidets as separate units have been around for a long time, only recently have they been incorporated onto the toilet seat.
The trouble with this is that problems occur with the seats, such as a rod protruding from the back of the seat, that can malfunction and get stuck in the extended position. This renders the toilet unusable until fixed. These dual units also have big seat attachments with all kinds of bells and whistles and electrical attachments; here, I question the safety of having anything electrical near water. Notwithstanding these problems, the cost of toilet seats with these attachments alone can be about $600 to over $1,000, whereas my Bidet/Toilets are less expensive, safer, and do a better job.
Many who would like to use a Bidet/Toilet hesitate, because in the present models on the market, the line for the warm water has to extend out of the toilet area and be hooked up to a sink fixture in the bathroom. In contrast, the Bidet/Toilet has three small faucets on the right side of the unit, one for cool water, another for warm water and a center faucet to turn on the spray. I use the same hookup for the water that the toilet uses, because it is already there, and all you have to do is add the unit that takes care of the toilet and has an extra outlet for the bidet tubing. Using this one side is very useful, as you would just put a plug on the warm water inlet.
Our Bidet/Toilet is very sanitary and healthful. Women using the Bidet/Toilet regularly lessen the chances of getting a yeast infection or other problems. Likewise, a man can prevent a flair-up of sweat and crotch itch. The use of the Bidet/Toilet with liquid soap and water promotes a nice, antiseptic area, health and comfort. The Bidet/Toilet is very versatile and lends itself to several uses. No matter if you have a small or large bathroom, you can now enjoy a Bidet/Toilet with its dual functions, easy hookup with no extra plumbing involved."
