"Animal Carcass Dragger"
Loyde has been an avid sportsman for more than forty-six years. He was a factory worker for twenty-one years and now is retired. His hobbies are hunting and fishing with friends and wood working. Over the years when hunting in the Blue Ridge Mountains, he would drag any animal he was fortunate enough to bag back to his truck by a hoof or a horn and sheer determination. As time passed he decided that he could bring the animal back to his truck much more easily if he had a handle with which to pull it through the woods, over logs and rough terrain. It has been said that necessity is the mother of invention. Only when it became necessary, did his idea of an Animal Carcass Dragger come to pass. It is light weight, it fits easily in a back pack and is an important improvement for bringing downed animals to a motorized vehicle. The Animal Carcass Dragger helps Loyde do what he loves and he loves hunting! This is his first patent and was suggested by me when I saw how well it worked. ADVANTAGES OF THIS INVENTION: The invention, called the Animal Carcass Dragger, features a device for dragging your animal carcass back to your vehicle. The primary objective of this invention is to allow a consumer to remove their downed animals from the forest or field to their vehicle. It is best for medium sized animals as in white tailed deer. The way this invention works is by using a pocket knife to pierce a small hole in the cartilage between the nostrils of the animal, insert the u-bolt through the hole and re-attach the u-bolt to the handle with the nuts provided. This provides a handle with which to pull the animal back to your vehicle. Using this method, this unique leash lends itself as a user-friendly product. SALES POTENTIAL: The Animal Carcass Dragger fulfills a real need for millions of game hunters worldwide. Once introduced, consumer and industry acceptance should be enthusiastic and immediate. Marketing will be easy, as it can be sold in discount, department, and hunting supply stores, as well as, other specialty outlets. In addition, it can be attractively offered in trade and industry catalogs, appropriate magazines, and over the Internet. It is an exciting, new innovation that opens up a new and highly profitable product line with unlimited national and international marketing opportunities.
