"Emergency Light"

"I started thinking about this light when I was sheriff of Johnson County in Kentucky years ago. I saw a need for some type of a portable light that would be brighter and could be used many different ways battery operated. I wanted a light for off duty police officers, police officers on horseback, in a boat, etc. This would call for the blue lens too. I moved to Florida in the year 2000. I live in a community where there are 200 homes or more. On several occasions I have been asked to flag down an ambulance for someone with a medical problem or an emergency. This proved to me that anyone could use this Emergency Light to direct emergency vehicles to them."

ADVANTAGES OF THIS INVENTION:
The Emergency Light features a flash light lamp and a plurality of LED lamps activated in strobe-like fashion to alert emergency personnel in transit to the proper household needing assistance. The LED lamps can be illuminated in excess of 120 times per minute with a visibility range of one mile. The light can be mounted to a front door or stood upright on a flat surface. Thus, enabling emergency medical and rescue teams to quickly identify the home in need. Additionally, this product can also contain blue lights or optical lenses for law enforcement officer's use while on horseback patrol or held in the pockets of off-duty officers.

One of the most problematic issues for emergency personnel is identifying a residence following a 911 call. Locating the residence is particularly difficult at night when the house numbers and distinguishing characteristics of the home are obscured. Those concerns led Inventor Harold VanHoose to develop his Emergency Light. He has designed a remarkable lighted system that is easy-to-use, durable, and very versatile. This product is also portable and can be hung beneath the hood of a car in the event of vehicular trouble or an accident. This device can be used at an unlimited number of personal and commercial locations.

SALES POTENTIAL:
The Emergency Light fulfills a real need for millions of people worldwide. Once introduced, consumer and industry acceptance should be enthusiastic and immediate. Marketing will be easy, as it can be sold in discount, department, home improvement, and electronic stores, as well as, specialty outlets. In addition, it can be attractively offered in trade and industry catalogs, appropriate magazines, and over the Internet. It is an exciting, new innovation that opens up a new and highly profitable product line with unlimited national and international marketing opportunities.
